The project you see below comes from our 3 Dimensional Design class at BVT. We recycled old textbooks and created Deconstructed Books. This is an art form that is very much alive in today's galleries. You can view some current pieces here. Students were presented with the challenge to create the illusion that these forms were emerging right from the book. The subject matter was left up to them. As you can see, there were many different solutions! Some did folding methods, while others did more paper mache. You can view all these pieces and more in the BVT Media Center.
