Artist Spotlight: Sasha

Sasha is a freshman at BVT from Multi Media Communications. Sasha constantly demonstrates determination and focus which definitely comes through in her art. Her execution shows precision beyond her years! Stay tuned for more from this one in her coming years at BVT!
Below we have the following pieces:
1.  M.C Escher drawing assignment inspired by his "Metamorphasis" piece.
2.  Pen and ink Sherlock Holmes in pen in ink, completely comprised of words derived from the show!   (note the close up of Sherlock's face!)

Artist Spotlight: Marissa

Our artist for today is Marissa! Marissa is a Junior at BVT in the Multi Media Dept. The following pieces are from her time at Art School Prep, and 3 Dimensional Art. Marissa is wildly creative and working to hone her talent for applying to art schools next year.  We should stay tuned to see more from Marissa; no doubt she will go on to be a successful addition to any illustration, animation, or design team!

The following pieces were made using the following:
1. Sculpey clay with acrylic paint
2. Charcoal and water
3. Conte Crayon

Artist Spotlight: Julia

Our Artist Spotlight for today is Julia. Julia is a Freshman at BVT taking Intro to Visual Arts. The following pieces are projects she made in class.
The first is a pen and ink drawing that combines an owl with a nautilus shell inspired by M.C. Escher's "Metamorphosis". The second is a collaged self portrait, using magazine clippings, and lastly we have a print from a block print designed based on a local flower. Julia is a budding artist, no doubt, who will continue to wow us with her progress.

Max is a Junior at BVT in Multi Media Communications. The work below was made during Art School Prep Club. Max is art school bound and is looking to major in Game Design or Illustration. The work below was done in charcoal, conte crayon, and sumi ink.

Artist Spotlight: Alyssa

Our very first Artist Spotlight for 2014 is Alyssa! These are a couple of her observational pieces done during Art School Prep. Alyssa is a Junior in Multi Media, and is definitely one of our most promising art school bound students! The portrait is done using various charcoals and conte crayons, while the observational shell drawing is done using sumi ink.
