The junior sculpture class spends a majority of their time experimenting with materials and conceptualizing ideas visually through 3 dimensional media. These wearable sculptures are a perfect example of their typical process. Using cultural adornment from around the world for inspiration, students were given the task of creating a sculpture that could be worn. Building them with unconventional material, while still complementing the part of the body it sat on was their ultimate challenge. However, students were given total freedom with material choice, execution, and body placement. These are the results! If we're lucky, maybe you'll see a couple of these beauties at prom!
