Cardboard Sculptures

Juniors have been hard at work constructing their cardboard object sculptures over the past couple of weeks. Students used cardboard to create scaled- down, or scaled- up versions of everyday objects using techniques learned in class.  Chris Gilmour , a contemporary artist, was the artist we used for inspiration.  You'll be able to see these in person at the BVT's Spring Arts Night May 21st.

  1. This is a great stepping stone to Game Art, Industrial Design, Architecture, etc. Amazing work from the Juniors! This is truly thinking out of the box.

  2. This project was a lot of fun. It was challenging along the way, but so rewarding for them at the end. They really impressed me with their ability to push through obstacles with the materials, and refine their techniques. This particular class really does become a whole brainer.
