Playing cards! Sophomores taking 2 Dimensional Design were given the task of creating a list of opposite (or complimentary) characters. This list could include characters already in existence like Mario and Luigi, or more abstract concepts like dark and light. Then students designed how these characters would "connect" using sketches from their list. Emphasis was placed on learning to incorporate illustration, border design and suit text seamlessly to create a playing card from their imagination. These are some of the results! Enjoy!
