Larger Than Life Nature

Students have been hard at work in every class, but we thought we'd kick off the year with some charcoal drawings from the Art Club! This type of large scale drawing is so helpful, and important for growing artists because it gets them out of their comfort zone. These particular students are either interested in making art for personal reasons, or are applying to art school and building a portfolio of work. Stop by any Tuesday and Thursday after school to see what we're up to!

Stay tuned for more cool projects!

"A studio classroom is much more complicated than it looks at first impression.  The students who originally appeared so casual are actually working hard-- they are thinking visually, analytically, critically and creatively."  - Lois Hetland
